So, I cheated a bit with this box… I saw a fellow blogger write her review of the box and fell in love with all of the products in the box. Therefore, I went to FabFitFun’s website and saw they still had Summer boxes available and immediately bought one! I just got the box in the mail, and needless to say, I LOVE it!! These products are awesome. If you still want to be surprised of the products when you get your box in the mail (if you haven’t already), please stop reading now!!
Okay, ready for the unveiling?!
Ahh!! So pretty already 🙂
Let’s go through these products:
- The Everyday Wireless Speaker by FabFitFun (Retail: $29.99)
This little guy is SO cute!! Mine is the aqua color (as pictured above) but I’ve seen other people get a hot pink color. This speaker is currently hanging in my bathroom for some good tunes while I shower! The speaker can play the radio or connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth. The sound quality is surprisingly great and it can get pretty loud for a pool setting or other possible loud locations! It comes with a cord so that you can charge it up before going to the pool. It also has a clip so you can attach it to a bag.
Definitely give this little gadget: an A+!
2) “I’ll make you look amazing” Daily Spray by Gorge* (Retail: $24.95)
I’ll be honest, my hair is weird sometimes. It’s always frizzy and gets greasy fairly quickly, but it can also be very dry if I’ve blow-dried or straightened it (weird, right?). THIS product, made my hair look and feel AWESOME! It smells so good (kind of like coconut) and makes my hair so soft (but not greasy). It even tamed most of my frizzy fly-aways! That right there, is an accomplishment. Although it did wonders for my hair, I saw some greasiness starting to build up that same night (f.y.i. I usually get about a day and a half or two days with no visible grease – depending on my routine that day). As I said to begin with, my hair gets greasy fast so this may just be my hair, not the product itself!
Overall, I’d give this product: an A!
3) Intensive Care Spray Moisturizer – Aloe Soothe by Vaseline (Retail: $7.99)
So, like my hair, my body is often oily; it sounds disgusting I know, but I just mean I don’t use or have to use lotion often. I liked this product because as it says, it is non-greasy, which is so essential for my skin type. It sprays on easily and you can rub it in quickly. This was the fastest I was EVER able to put lotion/moisturizer on, which is awesome since I’m always so busy! It smells good but it’s not too overpowering – just smells clean and fresh. The price for the product is pretty reasonable in my opinion, but I’m not sure if I would ever actually buy this randomly (just because I don’t use lotion much). Also, when spraying on, I noticed a lot of the excess got on my bathroom floor, which made it very slippery and was hard to completely wipe up. It would almost be better to spray on outdoors, hah.
My rating: B!
4) Cleansing Sponge by Hello Konjac (Retail: $12)
This nifty product comes from Korea! Apparently the women there use this sponge (which is made from konjac vegetable fibers) to cleanse and exfoliate their faces, which balances their face’s pH levels (cool!). In the description of this product, it says to use on your face, but I used it on my body as well. It’s a tough sponge but softens a bit when wet. It definitely exfoliates well and had my skin feeling baby-soft after my shower! One of the best sponges I’ve used, but I doubt I would buy one for $12 when I can get a super cheap one at Wal-mart.
My squeaky clean rating: B!
5) LipSurgence Lip Gloss – True Love by Tarte (Retail: $19)
I hardly ever wear red lip gloss/stick because I rarely have the confidence to pull it off, BUT I really like this lip gloss and would definitely consider getting other colors! The color is fresh and fun and the gloss goes on easy and stays put for a long time, unlike other lip glosses I’ve tried. It’s a bit more expensive than I would typically pay for lip gloss, but the tube is a pretty good size for the price.
My red-lipped rating: B-!
6) Roll-On Perfume – Sultry by Inkling Scents (Retail: $25)
I’m a perfume NUT! Currently, I have EIGHT large bottles of perfume in my bathroom. I love being able to choose from different scents depending on my mood or the occasion! This perfume may be getting added to my collection, because it smells so good! It contains: a blend of creamy sandalwood, white amber, lotus flower, orchid, Bulgarian rose, and silky vanilla. That’s a lot of different scents but the somehow mesh together very well for a surprisingly delightful scent! The Sultry scent is PERFECT for a night out or a hot date!! With the box, they even give you a coupon code for 15% off your first order (I’m a total sucker for coupons)! Oh, and they have 20+ scents to choose from, all in perfect little sizes for travel or having on the go!
Rating for this gem: A!
7) Jump Rope by FabFitFun & CosmoBody (Retail: $14)
I have been wanting a cool jump rope for a long time, but just haven’t gotten around to it and didn’t want to spend the money since I have a gym membership. This jump rope is awesome! The handles are cushioned and slightly heavy for an even better workout! And it’s pink!! What more could a fit girl want?! FabFitFun has even posted videos of jump roping exercises on their website for us fitness nuts!
My fit rating: A+!
8) Nail Wraps by Scratch (Retail: $12)
When I first saw these in my box, I was like, “what the hell are these?” because they looked so funny. Obviously they’re for your nails (I got that part) but had no idea how you were supposed to apply these. I was looking for instructions on the back when I saw that they give you a website to go to instead (ugh). However, the website instructions were very helpful and simple enough for a nail-idiot like me to understand.
Now, to understand my full review, you must know that I hardly ever paint my finger nails. This is because it looks like a two-year-old painted them, and I almost always get more paint on my fingers than on my actual nail. I would much rather pay someone to do my nails, than do them myself. If you enjoy painting your own nails and are good at it, I’m sure you would love this product. However, I was extremely frustrated trying to apply these and quit halfway through – see above note about nails looking like a two-year-old painted them. I’m sure others have had much more success than myself with these but they’re just not for me.
Some perks was that there is a 50% off your first mani kit on the back of this little envelope! Their website is also very cool and shows all the successful applications of these wraps — why can’t my nails look that good?!
My rating: C!
9) 3-month Subscription to Headspace (Retail: $38.85)
I LOVE that they included this and that this program exists. It’s so important for people to take care of themselves, not just physically, but mentally! You can access this program from your smartphone or your computer so you can have it with you anywhere, whenever you need it. You can guide your own meditations by focusing on certain aspects of your daily life – anywhere from 2 minutes – an hour each day! They have an SOS feature that you can click on for mindfulness when you’re having a mental breakdown… this feature is going to be GREAT for me, haha. If you visit the website, you can access a FREE ten-day version to learn the basics of meditation. That’s ten days of meditation for FREE people! No subscription required. Check it out! If you need any more of a push, Emma Watson uses it! Yeah, Hermione knows what’s up!
My mindful rating: A++!
10) 14Kt Gold and Black Sapphire Necklace by Wren (Retail: $100)
Last but definitely not least, this gorgeous 18 inch necklace! I’ve been wearing mine since I got my box in the mail. It’s a simple piece but adds flare to any outfit! It’s gold-dipped with a little black sapphire included. FFF was giving out three versions of this necklace: a heart, a horseshoe, and a moon. I’m SO glad that I got the heart because I’ve paired it with my state of Georgia bar necklace so I’m constantly reminded of home while living in Colorado!
My heartfelt rating: A+!
Did anyone happen to notice all those retail prices and add them up yourself? WELL, with their descriptions of the products, FFF gave the overall retail price value for this box. Which was:
All ten of these amazing products just for $49.99!!
